The University in Burdwan was begain in 1960, and awarded 4 star status by NAAC is a public university located in Bardhaman, West Bengal, India.Burdwan functioned from 15 June, 1960 with 30 undergraduate colleges spread five districts underthe jurisdiction of the university. The new University Act is in force from 1981.
